Important information:

  1. Resume and Cover letter – you will want to submit a resume when you apply that includes previous experience, including education and volunteer work.  Your cover letter is a great way to introduce yourself.  Do you enjoy horseback riding or collecting rare stamps? Do you have a vast knowledge of Shakespeare’s greatest works? Do you like to travel? If so, please make sure to tell us a little something about your that we might not see or read on your resume.
  2. Professional references – be prepared to submit professional references.  A reference would be someone who has worked with you in the past in a supervisory capacity and can attest to you work behaviors.  It is always good practice to ask your former managers if you can use them as a reference.  Have their contact information available, including email address.  If this is your first job reach out to a former teacher or coach.  Maybe you have done volunteer work in the past – reach out to your supervisor.
  3. Interviewing and Placement process – In the interviewing process you could be scheduled to meet with 2-3 managers, work a trial observation shift and then work an independent shift before final placement.
